A view of the Yu Garden with koi fish swimming in the pond. The koi fish were the most fun to watch. They all seemed to have their own personalities, and they're actually very social creatures. The koi fish play with each other, and even with the turtles and ducks.
Yu Garden is believed to have been built in the Ming Dynasty, more than 400 years ago. The exquisite layout, beautiful scenery, and the artistic style of the garden architecture have made the garden one of the highlights of Shanghai.

Yu Garden or Yuyuan Garden is an extensive Chinese garden located beside the City God Temple in the northeast of the Old City of Shanghai at Huangpu District, Shanghai. It abuts the Yuyuan Tourist Mart, the Huxinting Teahouse and the Yu Garden Bazaar.
